Vatopedi Monastery runs many different sites — from demanding news portals down to much smaller builds.
The requirement was one infrastructure that serves both ends, without the heavy portal affecting the small one and without paying for enterprise infrastructure per site.

Dedicated storage for media
Media files held on separate storage, off the web servers.
Separate admin servers and NGINX cache
Administration separated from reading, with a cache in front of the public sites.
Dedicated network with fibre channel and CDN
A dedicated network and CDN, so the portals stay fast and available.
